GO is an improvisational system created and taught by Rosanna Gamson. Originally developed for her own choreographic work, the GO strategies are now being offered to other artists through workshops lead by Gamson with the assistance of Rosanna Gamson/World Wide dancers. Since its launch in 2017, Gamson has lead GO Workshops in Mexico City, Panamá City, Berlin, Lodz, and Los Angeles for dancers, choreographers, actors and directors.

GO is a sequential series of exercises and games that help break performers of habits and mannerisms, spark movement invention, build ensemble and listening skills, and can be used by choreographers and directors to generate group-authored performances. GO is a physically and mentally demanding practice that allows participants to make significant progress in a short amount of time. Using the GO games, performers lose self-consciousness, stop self-criticizing, and find new vocabulary; and the workshop group quickly becomes a working ensemble capable of making group decisions moment to moment. GO games have been performed by Rosanna Gamson/World Wide as stand-alone events in dance and theater festivals in Eastern Europe, and used by other choreographers to create material in their studios.

Each GO Workshop is specifically tailored to its participants needs. Gamson has lead workshops for respected and acclaimed dance and theater companies, and in festival settings, as well as for amateur dance students. GO Workshops run three to five days, from three to five hours each day, and may culminate in a public showing/demonstration and/or conversation as is appropriate. Always the GO Workshops create a safe space for discovery and growth. For further information please write to tsarina.rgww@gmail.com.
